Heal, Health, Energy, Action, Life

Your gut is often called your “second brain” and there is a good reason for that. Around 90% of your serotonin (your mood‑regulating chemical) is produced in the gut. When your gut is inflamed, unbalanced, or stressed, your mood and energy suffer. If you have ever experienced IBS, bloating, fatigue, or mood swings after certain foods, you have felt this connection first-hand. I have experienced this myself, and for me it was often linked to overconsumption of certain foods, l

Many people stop learning once formal education ends. Work, routine, and responsibilities take over. But your brain is designed to grow throughout your entire life, which is a process called neuroplasticity. When you learn something new, your brain forms new neural pathways. This improves memory, problem‑solving, emotional regulation, and even long‑term wellbeing. Why Lifelong Learning Matters Studies from Harvard and the University of London show that continuous learning: re

Loneliness is not just “being alone”. It is a biological signal, just like hunger or thirst and that tells your body it needs connection. Research from UCLA shows that loneliness activates the same brain regions as physical pain, which is why it feels so heavy and consuming. Modern life makes it easy to become isolated. Work, childcare, stress, and routine can shrink your world without you noticing. But loneliness is not a personal failure. It is a human experience, and it c

Most people reach a point where life feels repetitive. The same routines, the same responsibilities, the same patterns. Even the things you normally enjoy start slipping to the bottom of the list. When this happens, it is usually a sign that your mind and body are asking for change. Change does not need to be dramatic. In fact, research in behavioural psychology shows that small, frequent adjustments are far more effective than big, sudden transformations. Tiny shifts keep th

June – Creativity Most people think creativity is for artists. It’s not. Creativity is how humans process emotion, stress, and meaning . When creativity disappears, life becomes mechanical: Wake up. Work. Eat. Scroll. Sleep. I’m quite a creative person, and I completely understand that when you’re going through difficult times, that’s often when you don’t feel like doing anything at all. But I’ve found that even small, simple creative tasks can really support your wellbeing.

May - Mental Positivity Without Toxic Positivity Let’s talk about the mind. We live in a culture that says:“Just be positive.”“Think happy thoughts.”“Manifest better.” But that can actually make people feel worse. Because real mental health isn’t about forcing positivity. It’s about awareness and kindness toward yourself . Your brain’s job is not to make you happy. Its job is to keep you alive. So when you feel anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed, it doesn’t mean you’re broken.

So Why does Anxiety and stress occur ? Anxiety is the mind’s way of trying to protect us. When the brain senses uncertainty, overwhelm, or even subtle changes in the body, it switches into a threat‑detection mode. This activates the ‘amygdala’, the part of the brain that scans for danger and it sends signals to the body to prepare for action. The problem is, that the brain doesn’t distinguish between real danger and perceived danger; a difficult conversation, a busy week, or

If we haven’t met before, I’m Sarah. Over the past few years, I’ve dedicated myself to learning about wellbeing and exploring tools and techniques that have helped me create a more fulfilling life. What I’ve discovered isn’t a quick fix—it’s a starting point. It’s about understanding ourselves, analysing challenges, and finding ways to move through them. The more we learn, the more we can support both ourselves and those around us. I would highly recommend listening to podcas
